A Thames riverside development has launched called Dock28 by Fairview New Homes, which is a mile from the centre of Woolwich.
The development has guide prices starting from £275,000, which compares to the average apartment in the neighbouring area of Greenwich costing almost double, at £540,000.
The first selection of the development’s 216 studio, one-, two- and three-bed apartments and three-bed duplexes are being placed on the market with a launch event on Saturday 19 August.
A number of the homes at Dock28 will be available through Deposit Unlock, which allows buyers to purchase with just a 5% deposit.
Spread across two buildings, Anchor Court with eight floors and Broadwater House with 12, residents will benefit from a private rooftop terrace.
Each apartment comes with its own private balcony, access to private communal podium gardens and are located close to the River Thames and the Thames Path, a 182.5 mile walking trail which leads to the river’s source in the Cotswolds.
Dock28’s Zone 4 location offers a variety of transport connections, with residents having easy access to the Elizabeth line and DLR from Woolwich station, where commuters can reach Canary Wharf in just eight minutes and Liverpool Street in 15; Bank can also be reached in 26 minutes, and London City Airport in five.
National Rail from Woolwich Arsenal station also gets commuters into Waterloo East in under half an hour, and Greenwich in less than 15 minutes, giving residents access to The O2 Arena & Greenwich Market.
There is green space surrounding the development, with Gallion’s Park and Lake St Nicholas just a nine-minute walk away.
