JP Morgan Says Bitcoin Price Will Correct After Halving, Here’s The Target
Analysts from JP Morgan, an American multinational financial corporation, have disclosed the potential for a significant price correction in Bitcoin, predicting that the cryptocurrency could see its price drop to $42,000 after the Bitcoin halving event. Bitcoin Price Prediction Post Halving While many crypto analysts foresee Bitcoin’s dramatic rise to new all-time following the highly anticipated Bitcoin halving event, JP Morgan analysts have remained bearish. According to the analysts, a rise in production costs and mining difficulties could push the price of BTC down to $42,000 after the BTC halving event concludes. The Bitcoin halving, which is a pre-programmed event that…
Backbench Tory MPs are set to water down protections for renters and increase rights for landlords, the BBC reports. It’s unclear exactly what’s being watered down, but it’s though Conservative MPs are concerned that the reforms could cause landlords to sell up, exacerbating the UK’s issue of a lack of rental supply. The government has previously committed to banning Section 21 ‘no fault’ evictions, a promise that’s now five years old. The UK’s broken court system is badly in need of reform, to make Section 8 evictions – where you have to provide a reason to evict a tenant –…
Apart from watching instructional YouTube videos, playing New York Times word games on our phones and streaming a show over spotty Wi-Fi in the evening, my wife and I are not big techies. That’s why I was surprised when she hinted that she’d like a virtual reality (VR) headset for Christmas. “I’ve heard it’s really good exercise,” she said. “Mmmm hmmm,” I replied skeptically, but the message had been received, and I surprised her with one under the tree. Before that, I thought that videogames — especially the VR sort — were something an adult leaves behind in their 20s, or, surely,…

Yet the Strategic Organising Centre (SOC), a coalition of North American workers groups, is mounting the sort of campaign normally associated with hedge funds. The group’s target is Starbucks, a coffee-shop chain with a market capitalisation of $107bn. Whereas traditional activist investors take a chunk of a company and pressure its management to change strategy, hoping to gain from a bump in the share price, the SOC owns a mere $16,000-worth of…
February sales boom, but prices fall
The market quickened up in February, as more sellers accepted some lower offers on their properties. Zoopla research says buyer demand rose by 11%, while the number of sales rose by 15% from the year earlier. However house prices saw a reduction of 0.5% year-on-year, with seven regions experiencing price rises and five seeing falls. Sarah Coles, head of personal finance, Hargreaves Lansdown, said: “February sustained the new life we saw breathed into the market at the start of the year, with some buyers and sellers returning to the market, and sales picking up again. “However, while this is much-needed…

SweetBunFactory You’d think that with all this AI hype, semi stocks broadly would be doing well. This of course until you dig deeper and realize how much of this narrative is being driven by just one stock (Nvidia, my fav!). Semiconductor stocks outside of Nvidia (NVDA) really haven’t done all that much since 2021, but perhaps there will be a rotation that favors them more broadly. If that’s the case, the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (NYSEARCA:XSD) is one way to play it. XSD is an investment fund that aims to replicate the performance of the S&P Semiconductor Select Industry Index.…
