U.S. stock futures gained ground early Wednesday as Treasury yields continued to fall on increased hopes the Federal Reserve will start cutting interest rates next year.

On Tuesday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA rose 84 points, or 0.24%, to 35417, the S&P 500 SPX increased 4 points, or 0.1%, to 4555, and the Nasdaq Composite COMP gained 41 points, or 0.29%, to 14282.
